Chilean-Peruvian Conference on Optimization and Variational Analysis 2024

Celebrating the 60th Birthday of Prof. Fabián Flores-Bazán

The Chilean-Peruvian Conference on Optimization and Variational Analysis (ChiPOVA-2024) will be held at the Universidad de Tarapacá (UTA), in Arica, Chile, May 06-10, 2024, where it is organized by the Research Group on Applied Optimization and Variational Analysis of the Department of Mathematics and the Institute for Advances Studies, both from UTA.

The conference is dedicated to strenght the relationship between both Chilean and Peruvian communities on optimization and variational analysis and, also, for celebrating the 60th birthday of Prof. Fabián Flores-Bazán.

Prof. Fabián Flores-Bazán is a Peruvian researcher who has been worked in Chile for almost 30 years in the Universidad de Concepción, in Concepción, Chile. Prof. Flores-Bazán is a worldwide recognize expert on generalized convexity and generalized monotonicity research fields and his contributions emcompasses diferent problems from both continuous optimization and variational analysis problems.
